Board of Elections

VOTER HISTORY: HISTORY IN ANY ELECTION IS NOT SEEN ON YOUR VOTER RECORD UNTIL AFTER THE COUNTY HAS HAD THEIR CANVASS MEETING FOR THE ELECTION.

About the Board

The Craven County Board of Elections operates under a five member board that is appointed every two years. The board is two Democrats, two Republicans, and a Chair that is appointed by the Governor, effective January 31 (Session Law 2018-146).

The Craven County Board of Elections has 3 full-time employees. The County Board of Elections is State-governed and County-funded. The Office is responsible for all voter registration and elections in Craven County. The right to vote is the cornerstone of American freedom. Your vote counts. Voters should feel that the process is just and be allowed to express their viewpoints through their ballots.
