CarolinaEast Health System and its 350-bed flagship medical center in New Bern offers top-rated treatment in a number of specialty areas, most notably cardiology, oncology and women’s health. In February 2020, CarolinaEast, in partnership with UNC Health Care, opened SECU Comprehensive Cancer Center, an approximately 80,000 square foot, free standing, state of the art facility, equipped with the spaces and tools that support a comprehensive, patient-centered model of care

Coastal Carolina Health Care, P.A. (CCHC)

CCHC is a multi-specialty group practice with a strong base of primary care providers located in New Bern, NC. While the company was established in 1998, it traces its roots back to 1962. CCHC’s mission is to promote the health of our patients by providing high quality, compassionate, comprehensive, and personalized health care. MERCI Clinic

MERCI Clinic is committed to providing confidential medical, limited dental, and pharmaceutical services to individuals who have no health insurance and are of limited income regardless of race, color, creed, national origin, gender, religion, or other legally protected status. MERCI Clinic has been recognized by the North Carolina Association of Free Clinics as one of the most successful free clinics in the state based on patient outcomes. Their annual fundraiser, MERCI on Middle, has quickly become the must-have event to attend in November. 750 people line the streets of downtown New Bern to enjoy a farm fresh dinner prepared by several participating restaurants. All proceeds from ticket sales and sponsors benefit the MERCI Clinic as they provide quality health care for those in need.
