The Craven 100 Alliance (C1A) is a 501c3 public private partnership created to advance the economic interests of Craven County. With investments from the private sector, Craven County, the City of New Bern and the City of Havelock, the C1A has a track record of moving the economy forward in Craven County by investing in infrastructure, real estate and companies directly.

In 2019, the Craven 100 Alliance investments yielded $8.5 million in investment creating 140 jobs over six projects. The C1A is actively looking for strategic partners to joint venture with who have similar interests in growing the economy of Craven County.

Since its inception in 2014, the Craven 100 Alliance and its public partners Craven County, New Bern and Havelock have worked with companies to bring in over $180 million in investment and over 1300 jobs into Craven County with an average salary of $40,352. This is an incredible success story that we can all be proud of. 

Despite a national downturn in 2020 due to COVID, Craven County continued to develop new partnerships that resulted in significant growth to our economy. The partnerships resulted in a significant boom to our area in 2021. Combined developments in the industrial park alone over the last two and a half years have resulted in about $16.5 million worth of investments and over a hundred jobs that have been created between six or seven different ventures.

The investment into the C1A has brought, and will continue to bring, the resources needed for economic advancement in Craven County. With the expansion of so many companies that have already established roots here and the relocation of several national companies to our area, we have positioned ourselves to be a desirable location for a diverse and skilled workforce. The influx of new industries will provide greater employment opportunities, a robust housing market, more convenient shopping and dining locations, better education opportunities and an overall better quality of life.
