Living Here

While we can’t claim credit for Craven County’s breathtaking blue skies and scenic waterways, we take immense pride in our vibrant community of residents and professionals who call this place home. Our history is steeped in legacy, tracing back to Colonial times when New Bern stood as the inaugural state capital, Caleb Bradham birthed Pepsi Cola, and the Marine Corps found its home in Cherry Point and Havelock. It’s the land where Babe Ruth pursued his passion for hunting alongside his baseball career. Above all, it’s where a resilient and compassionate community has thrived for over 300 years. Today, we remain a tight-knit community of hardworking people who appreciate all that Craven County has to offer.
